Abstract

Introduction: Interdisciplinarity can be considered as an intensive exchange of professional knowledge in various fields , playing in the same scenario an action of reciprocity, mutuality, which assumes a different attitude in the face of a given problem. Objective: To describe the perceptions of nursing students in relation to interdisciplinarity. Method: This is a case study, a qualitative approach, carried out through content analysis of 28 reports prepared by scholars of Nursing and Midwifery. Results: After reading floating settled three thematic categories: conceptualization of interdisciplinarity, Teamwork and Multi Activity. Interdisciplinarity is an emerging debate in the educational environment: a way of thinking within the Education, is to overcome the traditionally fragmented approach to discipline. Interdisciplinarity is best done in a group, adding the contribution of qualitative specialties. The multidisciplinary work in the logic of interdisciplinarity, the possibility of expanding the human capacity to understand reality and the problems that are presented in it. Conclusion: The perceptions presented demonstrated maturity in understanding the concept of interdisciplinarity and the role of each professional involvement in this process. It is necessary to hold further discussion on training environments for better differentiation between the concepts of teamwork and interdisciplinary seeking effectiveness and applicability to the know-how.
