Abstract

The present paper shows some of the structural features that seek to emphasize the main interdisciplinary epistemological perspectives and positions within the scientific community of the so-called Latin American School of Communication (Elacom) and their characteristics. It also shows some of the main distinctions from approaches that separately generate two sources of investigation in Communication: on the one hand, the scientific production generated by the Latin American Association of Communication Researchers (Alaic). On the other, the scientific production published by some of the most marking Latin-American Communication journals.
