Abstract
This article presents a concept and architecture of interconnected laboratories for stability studies of future power systems. Based on the knowledge and infrastructure base of the existing power system stability laboratories in TU- Sofia and TU-Varna, the potential for forming a geographically spread joint research infrastructure is estimated. The present day ICT and automation technology allows novel cost efficient options for variety of cyber- physical power system stability research studies which gradually increase the capabilities of each of both laboratories, considered as single units.
