Abstract
Coulomb interaction of edge excitations localized on different edges in 2D and quasi-2D electron systems in quantized magnetic fields (in conditions of integer or fractional quantum Hall effect) is considered. The nature of edge excitations is discussed. The cases of two and infinite number of layers, and the lattice of quantum dots are considered. In two latter cases the excitation spectrum has a band structure with band width of nth order decreasing as n grows.
