Abstract

The paper deals with the investigation of the interaction of a coated pipe and a system of rigid bushes when the profiles of the contacting surfaces are variable. For the posed problem, a mathematical model is written. Its solution is constructed on the basis of a special method that allows one to represent the functions related to the shapes of the contacting surfaces as separate terms in the final formulas for contact stresses. This representation of the solution allows for efficient and accurate calculations, even when the functions describing the coating thickness and bush profiles are rapidly changing.
