Abstract

Chairistanidou et al. [1] reported findings on the healthy dietary score (HDS) and the lipidemic profile in adults. Their objective was to “investigate the possible associations of diet quality with blood lipid levels […] and to investigate further the possible influence of socioeconomic status (SES) in this association”. Authors conclude that “Higher diet quality was found to be associated with a better lipidemic profile in adults from high T2DM risk families but only in the high-SES group”. The paper contributes to the discussion about the effects of SES on the association between dietary habits and health outcomes [2].
