Abstract
In 0.2 µs after the large electric field up to 60 V/cm was induced electromagnetically on the toroidal plasma, it showed an anomalous resistivity and intense UHF and VHF bursts around 1/2( M / m ) 1/6 ω pi up to 50 V p–p were observed. The lower part of the frequency spectrum of plasma oscillations was ascribed to the Buneman Instability. Its dependence on the plasma density was observed and was in agreement with the theoretical predictions.
