Abstract
Abstract Due to steelmaking process of the Ultra High Power Direct Current Electric Arc Furnace (UHP DC EAF) is a complex process with physicochemical reactions, there exist highly, nonlinearity, uncertainty, time-variant and seriously interconnected (i.e. some of the variables may not be linearly independent) etc. It is impossible to establish a precise model for the steelmaking of the UHP DC EAF. According to the concrete practice of the steelmaking process, a intelligent compound control strategy is presented based on the steelmaking process of UHP DC EAF in this paper. This method was successfully used in the steelmaking process of the UHP DC EAF in a factory.
