Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the concept of intellectual difference, to identify its pros and cons, and to recognize the role of social work in dealing with intellectual difference, the study adopted the theoretical desktop approach in data collection, and the most important finding of the study that intellectual difference is inevitable in societies, and the social work begins to deal with intellectual difference on a number of values and principles, including: The right to self-determination and respect for the dignity of the individual, social justice, social responsibility, acceptance, and the roles of social work are to deal with intellectual differences in the preventive role, the therapeutic role and the development role.
