The historical preconditions for developing integrative medical-psychological-pedagogical help in Ukraine are considered. Based on the historical-theoretical analysis of the data, the historical preconditions and features of the systemic care for persons with disorders of the dental system, burdened with speech disorders are revealed. Objective and subjective diagnostic methods for determining the complexity of speech disorders and their significance for speech therapy diagnosis are described. Unfortunately, today in our country, there is no clear system of integrative medical, psychological and pedagogical care for people suffering from dental disorders. Therefore, it is important not only to explain to parents the need for comprehensive rehabilitation, but also to promote the formation of close relationships between different fields of medicine and pedagogy. Physicians and educators need to be trained to make comprehensive differential diagnoses, to solve the problem of integrative diagnosis, correction and further rehabilitation for people with disorders of the dental system, burdened with speech disorders. Specialists must be fully versed in the technology of detecting speech disorders in the presence of dental disorders. In this case, orthodontists and speech therapists should work closely throughout the treatment period. Only in this way, it will be possible to achieve the most stable result of rehabilitation, to fix the correctly established sound pronunciation, to promote the best psychological readiness of the person for disturbance and perception of himself/herself and the world around.
