Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes restorative justice within the framework of the C.A.R.E. model–Collaborate, Amend, Reintegrate, and Empower. It underscores the model’s transformative influence on reentry programs tailored for previously incarcerated individuals. By aligning with restorative justice principles, practical innovations in reentry initiatives promote family reunification, community involvement, and shared accountability. Based on the Author’s (2020) ecological approach to examining reentry experiences, the study re-evaluated qualitative data using NVivo software. The results highlight the concordance between restorative justice and reentry strategies, highlighting their potential to improve reintegration outcomes and reduce recidivism.
