Abstract
Highlighting the global prevalence of pediatric physical disabilities, particularly in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, this letter underscores the neglect and stigma faced by affected children. Emphasizing the inadequacies of traditional rehabilitation methods, it advocates for a paradigm shift towards play-based approaches. Integrating play into rehabilitative care is crucial for fostering positive neural plasticity and enhancing treatment adherence, especially in resource-constrained settings. This urgent call seeks to improve outcomes and promote a holistic approach to pediatric rehabilitation.
