Abstract

This research aimed to understand how emerging technologies are transforming pedagogical practices in education. The main objective was to analyze the adoption of technologies such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and mobile learning in classrooms, assessing their impact on student engagement and motivation. The methodology was based on a literature review, following Gil's guidelines (2002), allowing for a comprehensive analysis of recent studies on the subject. The results showed a significant impact of emerging technologies on education, offering opportunities for more engaging and adaptive learning environments, as discussed by authors like Freitas (2017) and Alves and Nogueira (2019). However, challenges such as resistance to change, resource limitations, and the need for continuous teacher training were identified. The final considerations highlighted the importance of emerging technologies as transformative elements in education, despite the existing challenges. This study emphasizes the need to overcome these obstacles to maximize the benefits of technological innovations in education.
