Abstract
A recently presented novel thermal vacuum sensor is briefly described and a simple method for extending the upper pressure limit of the device is shown. Experimental results indicate an increase in the upper pressure limit of 15–20 times up to nearly atmospheric pressure. The resolution is calculated to be 20 mPa (absolute), and the normalized low-pressure output is measured as [1−0.005 × pressure] (in Pa).
