Abstract

Process control is the basic principle of advanced quality engineering and ISO9000/2000, and also is the available necessary means to elevate the level of quality management and guarantee product quality. The traditional CAQ (computer aided quality system) only implements the quality information management instead of having ability of process control and system flexibility. Aimed to these shortages, process control in quality management was analysis based on workflow management technology, and the concept of QWF (quality work flow) was presented. The workflow is a method to implement quality process control by the following procedures: dispersing quality business according to the business role, building quality process model, then developing software components of quality business, finally realizing quality process control. An architecture of IQS (integrated quality system) based on QWF was built. This architecture is flexible because it is divided it into enabling platform and application system. The former is relatively universal and stable, can be used in various enterprises quality management. The latter is unstable for it faces to the different terminal client and vary as their requirement. The application in an equipment manufacturing enterprise shows that the IQS based on QWF not only implements the process control, and has the ability of process integration, system integration, inter-enterprise integration and system flexibility, but also can be developed and deployed rapidly.
