Abstract

This paper proposes a new integrated magnetics (IM) ZVS full-bridge Dc-Dc converter, which integrates three inductors and one transformer with a single core. Compared with the discrete solution, the proposed integrated converter has less components, smaller size, lower cost and reduced core losses. The leakage inductance of the transformer is used as energy storage inductance and the output filter inductor in conventional full bridge converter is removed. Therefore ZCS for secondary-side SRs can be achieved and the voltage spikes across SRs can be restrained by output voltage clamping. Since the magnetizing current of the primary winding is used as a current source to charge the intrinsic capacitors of the switches, ZVS is achieved for all primary switches in entire load rang. A prototype with 350 V-400 V input and 12 V/25 A output is built up. Experimental results verify the operating principle of the proposed converters.
