Abstract
It is commonly agreed that "INTEGRATION" in CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems) is a MUST. It induces however great difficulties in modelling both the CIMS - scope and the design - procedure of the Decision-support systems. (DSS). In this paper, we suggest an INtegrated COnceptual REference MOdel (lNCOREMO) to overcome these difficulties. The INCOREMO consists of two dual models: one left INCOREMO-L for organic structuring, and one right INCOREMO-R for behavioural structuring. From these models, SUB-MODELS are derived to represent sub-structures, and LEVEL- MODELS to represent various levels of knowledge. Interconnexions established between them will permit the solution of both scope and design problems.
