Abstract

Transmedia storytelling is a communication strategy that uses multiple platforms to develop a message that is enriched with features of each language and format used. This convergence creates a novel link between media companies and the public. This article, which uses the deductive hypothetical method, demonstrates that transmedia projects generate stories that are expanded in different media in ways that allow the receiver to obtain a thorough experience. To prove it, in the analytical part we opt for a non-experimental qualitative method. We focus on the case of the first online radio magazine in Spain, “Morning Glory”, a pioneer of integrated production in our country. It was a product designed simultaneously as an audiovisual production, and its success with audiences has encouraged development of a broader communication experience, such as the television drama series “Blind Dating” seen on private channel 4.
