Abstract

A pulse rate doubling technique for periodic digital signals is described. This circuit is fully compatible with silicon bipolar integrated circuit (IC) technology; no discrete capacitors are required. The difference in storage times between an n-p-n transistor and lateral p-n-p transistor is used to generate the output pulse sequence.
