Abstract

The problem of insulation voltage selection in potential-difference detection method of insulation performance of electrical insulating metal pair in flowing seawater is discussed. In flowing seawater, 921A-B10 pair was taken as the research object to design the insulation corrosion test of the pair material. The natural corrosion test, the galvanic corrosion test and the simulated electrical insulation test of the pair material were carried out respectively. The test shows that the larger the analog insulation resistance of the pair material in series is, the smaller the galvanic corrosion current is, and the larger the voltage at both ends of the insulation resistance is. Finally, the range of insulation setting voltage is obtained.
