Abstract
This article presented a part of the research about instructional leadership practiced by high school principals with a sample of 290 high school principals in Vietnam; semi-structured interviews with certain principles; an approach of portrait description; case study. Sharing research results as: The perception of high school principals about the concept of instructional leadership; The situation of principals creating and promoting the school's mission, values, vision, and goal system; Current situation of high school principals implementing school education curriculum leader according to the instructional leadership approach. The research observations detailed below will help to demonstrate the need for instructional leadership in schools generally and high schools specifically. As a result, we recommend several ideas that could improve instructional leadership efficiency in the framework of educational innovation in Vietnam.
