Abstract

Abstract Stoneville 213 variety cotton was planted May 13 at the West Tenn. Exp. Sta., Jackson, TN. Soil type was Grenada silt loam with low soil moisture. Two-row plots 40 ft long were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. All seed planted was commercially treated with 2 fungicides. The seed treatment was prepared in the laboratory by adding the insecticide to the double-treated seed. The hopper box treatment was made in the field by adding Orthene 75S to the double-treated seed. Ten pounds of Terraclor SuperX per acre was applied in the covering soil except in the Temik-TSX and TF treatments.
