Abstract

Abstract Experimental and registered insecticides were evaluated for efficacy against army cutworm in Big Horn County, Mont. Winter wheat was seeded in 12-in. rows in the fall of 1982. Plots were 8 by 20 ft with three applications of each treatment utilizing a completely randomized design. Insecticides were applied on 31 Mar. with a back-pack sprayer at 30 lb/in2 and volume of 20 gal/acre. Treatments were evaluated on 17 Apr. by sampling the soil surrounding the middle two rows for 6 ft of linear row.
