Abstract

Presented are the results of studies of the biological activity of a strain of the genus Lecanicillium, which is in the collection of the Engineering and Technological Institute “Biotechnika” NAAS of Ukraine. The biological activity of the strain of the genus Lecanicillium under laboratory conditions was compared with the biological activity of control samples. Actofit (Streptomyces avermitilis) and Metarizin (Metarhizium anisopliae) were used as control samples. The studies carried out to assess the fungus of the genus Lecanicillium indicate that after two treatments at 1.0 % concentration of the working solution, the population density of the large cereal aphid (Sitobion avenae Fabricius, 1775) decreased. Thus, the introduction of a strain of the genus Lecanicillium into the natural biocenosis will make it possible to regulate the number of harmful insects, limiting outbreaks of their mass reproduction.
