Abstract

Abstract 'Silver Queen' sweet corn was planted on 10 Jul near Georgetown, Del. Two-row plots, 20 ft long on 30-inch centers were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Treatments were applied with a CO2-pressurized backpack sprayer using 2 nozzles/row delivering 100 gals/acre at 40 psi. Silk sprays were applied on 1, 4, 9, and 11 Sep. At harvest maturity (15 Sep), all ears from each plot were examined for economic damage and all live larvae were counted.
