Abstract

Abstract This paper firstly takes the demand of older people for indoor space environment as a breakthrough and analyzes the characteristics of the elderly group, the spatial environment demand generated by the physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly and the application of computer simulation in the design of aging-friendly indoor space. Secondly, we use a color space algorithm and feature extraction algorithm to construct an aging-friendly design model based on a human-computer interaction algorithm. Finally, several elderly individuals’ preferences are examined and analyzed. The results show that more older adults request the design of three aspects, namely anti-slip measures, intelligent door lock and handrail, in the space design, accounting for 86%, 83% and 87%, respectively. These data were used to generate the final interface form suitable for most older adults.
