Abstract
The current state of the issue of developing the urban planning documentation of planning projects and land surveying projects of linear objects (PPLS) of the street-road network is analyzed. The article discusses a systematic approach to optimizing the development process of PPLS based on the use of modern technical solutions that take into account a significant number of factors. The presented technology of the PPLS development is aimed at involving all interested participants in the development process, makes it possible to take into account the interests of city residents as much as possible and is recommended for preparing urban planning instructions such as SP (mandatory standards) 42.13330.2011 applications. It is established that the use of innovative approaches to transport modeling is necessary at every stage of urban planning and design and can reduces the time spent on the development of urban planning documentation and improve the quality of research. Promising areas of research, such as geosocial analytics, work with "big" data, introduction of modern information models that take into account the entire life cycle of a linear object of transport infrastructure, were identified. The result is an increase in the accuracy and objectivity of urban planning decisions approved.
