Abstract
Everything that is marked as new promises to have advantages over the old and usually we can find the justification of these promises in recourse to expected technological or economic progresses. Within a Next Society (Drucker, 2002), we have good reasons to expect a shift of the still familiar interlacement of economy, technology and innovation. To describe these challenges, an evolutionary model of innovation as a paradox is presented that allows one to derive anchor points of fundamental problems in temporal, social and factual dimensions of today’s economic-technological innovation and next innovation. We develop a system-theoretical framework as a basic concept, in which it is, on the one hand, possible to extract reasons for the actual (or in this case actual past) interlacement of and the social preference for economic and technological innovations.
