Abstract

The article describes various aspects of the problem of improving the quality of social services and the effectiveness of the training of social workers in institutions of higher education. The essence of innovation as a factor of qualitative changes in the educational and social spheres has been clarified. The peculiarities of the implementation of social work innovations are characterized in accordance with the identified promising areas (initiative of service recipients, competition in the field of social service provision, support of the state or territorial community, availability of resources). The interrelationship of social work innovations with educational innovations and other traditional methods and forms of classroom and extracurricular educational and social-educational activities is substantiated. The expediency of combining innovative and traditional methods and forms of organization of the educational process of training social workers in institutions of higher education has been proven. Taking into account the general logic of the organization of the training of future social workers, attention is focused on selected subjects (collective involvement, group involvement, individual involvement) and the function of ensuring the quality of the educational process (normative-methodical support, scientific-research support, practical-practical support). The main methods and forms of organizing classroom and extracurricular educational and social-educational activities of students, which affect the effectiveness and optimality of application to improve the quality of education in the field of social work, are specified.
