Abstract

The photosensitivity of doped solid solutions of lead-tin tellurides is analyzed, taking into account charge-carrier injection from the contacts. The features of the photoresponse are considered both in the fundamental-absorption region and in the submillimeter spectral region. The experimental results of an investigation of the properties of photodetector devices based on the indicated compounds are presented, and the prospects of using them in the IR and submillimeter regions are considered.
