Abstract

Growing up in an environment of opening to the outside world and economic reform and change, youngsters of the open economic zones are subject to a constant barrage of different trends of thought and ways of life. In this environment, things that are right and wrong, progressive and decadent, and socialist and capitalist are closely interwoven. In addition, they are subject to new moral and ethical standards and values arising from the impact of economic and scientific-technical progress in every realm of social life. Hence, reform and strengthening of moral education in schools to conform to the needs of opening to the world and economic reform are of major importance in both a realistic and a strategic sense.
