Abstract

Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) is a program from the government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which aims to empower low-income people to be able to independently build and improve the quality of their homes so they can live in decent homes in a healthy and safe environment. The Specific Vertical National Unit (SNVT) for Housing Providers is the organizer of the program from the Ministry of PUPR for each province in the territory of Indonesia. Sidoekrto Village, Bumi Ratu Nuban District, Central Lampung Regency is one of the villages in the implementation of the BSPS program. The formulation of the research problem is How Community Participation in the BSPS Program and what factors play a role in Community Participation in BSPS in Sidokerto Village, Bumi Ratu Nuban District, Central Lampung Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The focus of the research is the Stages of Community Participation, the form of community participation in each stage, the level of participation according to Arnstein, and the factors that contribute to community participation. The results of this study indicate that Community Participation in the BSPS Program in Sidokerto Village is seen from the Planning Phase, Implementation Stage and Monitoring and Evaluation Phase at the level of community power with the form of participation in the form of thoughts, energy, assets, skills and expertise, and social participation. Factors that play a role in Community Participation in the BSPS Program in Sidokerto Village are age, gender, occupational and income factors.
