Abstract

The properties of inhomogeneous superconductors are discussed in terms of the scale of the inhomogeneity and the degree of randomness. It is shown that both features influence such properties as the resistive transition and heat capacity transition in zero field, as well as the behavior of the upper critical field as a function of temperature and normal state resistivity. The superconducting to insulating transition is also discussed.
