Abstract

Summary Prunella vulgaris and Azadirachta indica extracts were shown to inhibit type I and II phospholipase A2 activity. These enzymes, involved in the biosynthesis of inflammation and allergy mediators and in the differentiation process of keratinocytes, are suitable for the screening of substances with a potent pharmacological activity.
