Abstract

SummaryAn intestinal amoeba which is not Endamoeba histolytica but which may be identified as Endamoeba coli by a liberal interpretation of such features as motivity, nuclear construction, thickness of cyst wall, shape of cyst, affinity for stain, and character of chromatoidal bodies, coming from a person who has had no recognizable harm from it, readily ingested red blood corpuscles in the test tube on one occasion but failed to do so on another.
