Abstract

Abstract Information Technology has revolutionised Information Management and tremendously increased the value of even the smallest piece of data. All over the world, effects of IT are noticeable in almost all aspects of life. In developing countries, the impact of IT is yet to be felt to any appreciable extent, yet the need is strong and the awareness, in certain sectors, high. The Nigerian situation is critically examined and a possible re‐orientation strategy suggested.
