Abstract

The author examines the issues of volunteering information support through thematic information resources development and dissemination. She analyzes relevant information resources developed by several libraries and reveals the problems affecting the effectiveness of information support for the institution of volunteering in general, and in the library and information sector, in particular. The author addresses the main problems and provides the case study of volunteering information resources as presented on the official websites of federal government agencies. An attempt is made to systematize information resources on volunteering. In conclusion, the author offers her recommendations on how to build the integrated system of volunteering information support, and emphasizes one of the proposals partially implemented within the framework of this study.
