Abstract
Abstract The paper proposes fuzzy agents as a subclass of soft computing agents in application to information retrieval tasks. These tasks are considered as multi-criteria optimization problem in distributed environment of information databases. Decisions are sought as associative merging of different classes using fuzzy inference engine. Bee-gent (Bonding and Encapsulation Enhancement Agent) of Toshiba TM is used as basic experimental tool. An improved of wrapper and mediator agents is obtained in making synergy between these truly agentified entities and information fuzzy agents. Both fuzzy wrapper and mediator Bee-gents play role of ‘meditation’ client tool for information retrieval technique.
