Abstract

ABSTRACT This qualitative research explored the information needs and seeking experiences of family members of terminal cancer patients. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twelve individuals. The topics participants spoke about included their loved ones, receiving the diagnosis, fluctuation of information needs, motivations for seeking or avoiding information, influence of technology, evaluation of resources, obstacles faced in obtaining information, resources used, and recommendations for others in similar situations.
