Abstract

ABSTRACT Information exchange between convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) and hotels, a growing necessity in destination marketing, has been a contentious issue over the past decade. Drawing from destination marketing and relationship marketing literature, this paper presents a proposed model of the interplay of relational factors of trust, relationship orientation, role clarity, interdependence, social bonding, communication, and geographic proximity and their relationship with information exchange.
