Abstract

The information and communication technologies - ICTs are increasingly a part of people's lives even in the educational environment. There are several possibilities for educational uses in various forms of education, from elementary school through college. The objective of this study is to examine how students use the resources of information and communication technologies for learning and how these technologies can affect learning at the Escola Tecnica do Vale do Itajai - ETEVI, Santa Catarina, Brazil. For both procedures was adopted a descriptive research, survey type. Questionnaires were applied to graduating students of the third year of high school. The approach to data analysis was quantitative using descriptive statistics and bivariate analysis of variables and analysis of multivariate correlation. As main outcome research shows that graduated students have: mostly habit of studying at night, are familiar with the virtual learning environment and that despite this tool to bring in the opinion of these respondents, an increase in workload, they realize that ICTs have facilitated studies.
