Abstract

Participating in sports is beneficial to people's physical and mental health. However, from a global perspective, the participation of young people in sports activities is generally insufficient. The same is true for Chinese college students. The physical quality of Chinese college students is declining year by year. This study attempts to explore the factors that affect college students' sports participation by researching the existing literature. Finally, it is concluded that sports participation behavior is affected by motivation and environmental factors, and the occurrence of college students' sports participation behavior may be the result of a single factor, or it may be the result of multiple factors. To promote the sports participation behavior of college students, these influencing factors deserve more attention.
