Abstract

The rapid development of wind power has brought tremendous impact on the power grid. Therefore it is of great significance to study the influence of wind power on the voltage stability of power system for the guidance of wind power integration. This paper introduces the theoretical model of Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) including wind turbine model, doubly-fed wind turbine model and its control model. And a complete model of DFIG on PSCAD is set up. In order to study the voltage stability of DFIG, this paper derives its influence on the voltage stability theoretically including the output current of DFIG and the distance between Short-circuit fault point and DFIG. Through the use of four-machine two-zone model, this paper verifies that the capacity of DFIG, fault distance and control methods have influence on the voltage stability.
