Abstract

The influence of a semiconductor surface potential on the transverse accustoelectric field in a piezoelectric–semiconductor layer system is investigated both, theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that in the case of accumulation layer the sign of the transverse acoustoelectric field depends on the conductivity of the semiconductor. This is confirmed experimentally using CdS samples with surfaces treated in a special way to create the accumulation layer. [Russian text Ignored.]
