Abstract

A comparison was made of the hysteresis characteristics of hard magnetic films with those of bulk samples based on Nd 2Fe 14B in the temperature range between 4.2 and 293 K. In both types of specimens characteristic “dips” appear below 135 K in the demagnetisation curves which are caused by both the spin reorientation from easy axis to easy cone and the deviation from a perfect texture of the sample.
