Abstract
SummaryThe action is studied of pulsed Nd-laser on the structure (morphology, crystallite dimensions, microdeformations, dislocation defects, density, etc) and properties (microhardness, corrosion resistance, etc) of iron-containing—metallurgically and electrochemically obtained alloys. It has been established that-laser irradiation considerably influences the structure parameters and the phase composition of alloys as a result of which the microhardness of the metallurgically obtained alloy (‘Korat’) increases about two and a half times, and that of the galvanically deposited alloy (‘Ferocol’) decreases by 20%.Laser irradiation influences positively the corrosion resistance of the metallurgically obtained alloy, while this parameter of the galvanically deposited one is impaired, to a certain extent.
