Abstract

The authors assess the effects of electron irradiation as well as various polar and nonpolar liquid media--water, several alcohols, dioxane, and carbon tetrachloride--on the deformation and mechanical properties of several polyethylene composites using highly dispersed silicon dioxide and the rutile form of titanium dioxide as fillers.
