Abstract

Using EXAFS, XANES and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy it has been established that the sharp spin crossover in a series of polynuclear complexes of iron(II) with triazole and aminotriazole is accompanied by considerable changes in the spatial and electronic structure. The effect of electronic and structural parameters on the spin crossover temperature in compounds of iron(II) with aminotriazoles upon change of anion and upon magnetic dilution with zinc is discussed.
