Abstract
A study of the operation of a high-speed pneumatic valve in a shock tube is presented. A method is developed for calculating the gas flow in the shock tube taking into account the movement of the locking cone in the valve and the changing computational grid. The features of the formation of the shock wave front are shown in the case of using a high-speed valve and a ruptured diaphragm in a shock tube. The study of the influence of the radius of the outlet from the volume inside the locking cone on the stability of the valve opening has been carried out. The minimum radius of the outlet is determined, which ensures the stable opening of the valve during the entire operation of the shock tube.
