Abstract

The influence of technological and design factors in rotary turning with multifaceted cutters are investigated. Semi-empirical formulas are proposed for determining the rational processing modes. It is shown that a decrease in the cutting force and temperature in the cutting zone provide chip crushing, which increases the productivity and quality of processing.
